Toward a world where disabled and neurodivergent people can thrive.

Mission

The Disability and Neurodiversity Alliance (DNA) is a Virginia-based collective offering training, peer support, education, and navigation services grounded in Disability Justice. We believe disability and neurodivergence are not individual deficits to be managed, but are identities shaped by systems. Therefore, the liberation of disabled and neurodivergent people requires systemic change. Our team brings together licensed therapists, Disability Justice educators, and community organizers with deep roots in peer support and movement work.

Vision

We envision a world where disabled and neurodivergent people are supported, connected, and empowered to thrive.

Our Framework

DNA is explicitly grounded in Disability Justice, a framework developed by disabled queer and trans people of color that centers intersectionality, collective access, and leadership by the most marginalized. We take a systemic view: ableism is not a series of individual bad attitudes but a structure that must be named and dismantled.

“[Disability justice] means we are not left behind; we are beloved, kindred, needed.”
